CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – After record high temperatures in December the New Year has brought colder air this week, with temperatures dipping into the low 20s Monday night.

Toward the end of the week, however, temps will jump back up to the mid-50s with a chance of showers Thursday through Sunday.

The National Weather Service predicts that after the brief late week warm-up, it appears that a significant onslaught of cold, Canadian air will likely occur as we head through next week (January 10-16).

There may be a day or two when highs struggle to reach the freezing mark, and lows descend into the teens, or even lower.

These predictions are subject to change with emerging weather patterns.
