CLARKSVILLE – With the regular season in the books, Austin Peay State University men’s and women’s basketball are both set to kick off the Ohio Valley Conference Basketball Championship at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana.

To preview a weekend full of tournament basketball, junior forward Terry Taylor and women’s head coach David Midlick will join the Austin Peay Coaches Show, starting at 6 p.m., Monday at the Winfield Dunn Center on the campus of Austin Peay presented by Five Star Radio Group and the Hand Family Companies.

This week, Midlick and Taylor will join host Scott Chase to recap the final weekend of the regular season. The men’s team knocked off Morehead State in the home-finale but fell on the road at Murray State in the regular-season finale. Midlick’s women team beat Morehead State, Thursday, before going on the road and posting the biggest road win in the history of the Austin Peay-Murray State women’s basketball series.

Midlick, Taylor, and Chase will also preview the OVC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championship, which starts on Wednesday in Evansville. The men’s team will be the No. 3 seed in the tournament and will take on the winner of Eastern Illinois and Jacksonville State in the quarterfinals at 8:30 p.m., Thursday. The women’s squad will play a 3 p.m., Wednesday, contest against Belmont in the first round.

Presented weekly, the Austin Peay Coaches Show will feature Austin Peay head basketball coaches Matt Figger and David Midlick throughout the Governors basketball season. This week fans can join Midlick, Taylor, and host Scott Chase for a special edition of the Austin Peay Coaches Show that will take part at the send-off reception for the OVC Tournament, Monday, in the Dunn Center.
