CLARKSVILLE – After a weekend that saw Austin Peay State University men’s and women’s basketball take on a pair of in-state Ohio Valley Conference foes, the Governors will play host to SIUE, Thursday, and Eastern Illinois, Saturday, in the Dunn Center. To preview a weekend full of basketball, head coaches Matt Figger and David Midlick join the Austin Peay Coaches Show, starting at 6 p.m., Tuesday at Buffalo Wild Wings on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard presented by Five Star Radio Group and the Hand Family Companies.
This week, Figger and women’s assistant coach Mark Youngs will join host Scott Chase to recap the Governors games against Tennessee State and Belmont, which saw Figger’s squad pick up their first win against the Bruins since 2008 and move to 8-0 in the OVC. Figger and Youngs will also look ahead and preview this weekend’s two OVC home games against SIUE and Eastern Illinois. Freshman Ella Sawyer of the women’s basketball team will also join the show to discuss her journey from Australia and her first season at Austin Peay.
Presented weekly, the Austin Peay Coaches Show will feature Austin Peay head basketball coaches Matt Figger and David Midlick throughout the Governors basketball season. Fans can join Figger, Midlick, and host Scott Chase each Tuesday at the newly-renovated Buffalo Wild Wings. Located on Hampton Place, just a stone’s throw from Wilma Rudolph Boulevard, Buffalo Wild Wings returns for its third season as the host location for the Austin Peay Coaches’ Show. In addition to the show, fans will be able to enjoy Buffalo Wild Wings’ BOGO traditional wings special every Tuesday.
