CLARKSVILLE, Tenn (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville-Montgomery County School System’s Partners in Education held their annual breakfast and awards ceremony on Tuesday, August 29, at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center to thank local organizations for their contributions throughout the year.

Director of Schools Millard House II addressed attendees, thanking them for their support in making CMCSS one of the best school districts in the state. House thanked local leaders, including Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts and State Representative Jason Hodges, for attending the event and for supporting education in Montgomery County.

Several community partners were recognized with awards as part of the event. Award recipients included:

  • Rising Star: Real Life Church
  • Boots on the Ground Award:  Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association 18-2
  • Innovative Partner: Fortera Credit Union
  • Innovative Partner: Austin Peay State University
  • Corporate Partner: Jostens
  • Community Commitment Award: Bojangles
  • STEM Partner of the Year: Jack Hunter STEM Center at APSU

The Sarah Ditmore Cooper Outstanding Partner Award, the event’s highest honor, went to Morgan Inc Contractors.

Partners in Education (PIE) is a program comprised by CMCSS, the Clarksville-Montgomery County Education Foundation and Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce that works with local businesses and organizations to benefit education in the community.
