Special Recognition

Immanuel Gilmore (CMCSS, Contributed)

Immanuel Gilmore, is a senior at Montgomery Central High School who suffered a serious injury during the TSSAA wrestling sectionals. All who know Immanuel have shared that his spirit is unbreakable. His strength, determination, and heart have always defined him—not just as an athlete, but as a person. And we have no doubt that same spirit will carry him through his recovery. To Immanuel and the Gilmore family, we want you to know that your community—and the wrestling community both here and across the country—stands with you. We are sending our love, prayers, and support. Right now, Immanuel is in the best hands, receiving top care at the Shepherd Center, and we know he’s giving this recovery everything he’s got. We look forward to the day we can recognize him in person, to celebrate his journey, strength, and perseverance. On Sunday, March 30 at 4 p.m., there will be a fundraiser at Real Life Sango, and there is also GoFundMe to support Immanuel’s road to recovery. Accepting the Point of Pride on Immanuel’s behalf is his incredible mother, who is a beloved driver supervisor for the Central area. Please join us in showing our love and support for Immanuel and his family.
