CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville-Montgomery County School System’s JROTC program held a drill competition, Nov. 21 at Montgomery Central High School.
West Creek High School placed 1st overall, Northwest High School 2nd, and Station Camp High School took 3rd. Twelve high schools participated in the competition.
The drill competition showcased JROTC cadet’s ability to conduct Army squad and platoon level drill and ceremonies movements. Clarksville area Army recruiters and Army Reserve drill instructors from Paducah, Ky. graded the competition events.
The competition started at 8:30 a.m. and concluded with an awards ceremony at 4 p.m. The Vietnam Veterans of America-Clarksville Chapter presented the overall winner trophy to West Creek High School at the awards ceremony.

The following high schools participated: Clarksville HS, Dickson County HS, Henderson County HS, Kenwood HS, Muhlenberg County HS, Northeast HS, Northwest HS, Rossview HS, Smyrna HS, Station Camp HS, West Creek HS, and York Institute.
