CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville-Montgomery County School System’s awarded their Points of Pride at their formal meeting and highlighted the accomplishments of two middle school teams that finished the state cross country competitions in the top 10.
Two middle school teams finished in the top ten of the Tennessee Middle Schools Athletic Association State Cross Country (TMSAA) Meet. Rossview Middle School Boys finished 3rd and Rossview Girls finished 10th.
Both teams qualified at the Middle Tennessee Sectionals in Murfreesboro, with the boys finishing second and the girls qualified by finishing sixth. It was a great experience with all CMCSS middle schools competing for the first time.
School Board member Josh Baggett presented the awards.
Boys Team: Cade Deterding, James McNiel, Hayden Hilliker, Ryan Leslie, Jayce Aguilar, Mitchell Pletcher, Ethan Smith. They were coached by Mark McNiel.
Girls Team: Cassa Rosencrants, Hailey Rowland, Taylor Gamble, Azusa Kobayashi, Brooklyn Herbek, Natalee Klinock, Tayla Easter. They were coached by Dustin Deterding.
