In a recent settlement, people who have purchased milk during the last 14 years in 15 states, including Tennessee, are eligible for up to $70 in payment.

USA Today reports the refund is the result of a class action lawsuit against milk producers in Tennessee and more than a dozen others states.

According to the suit, Cooperatives Working Together (CWT) and its members attempted to limit raw milk production by prematurely killing more than 500,000 cows.

The dairy providers paid $52 million to settle the case. Consumers can file an online claim at www.boughtmilk.com through January 31.
