CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Clarksvillenow.com /5 Star Radio news team were guests of the Kiwanis Club of Clarksville at their first meeting of the New Year Tuesday, January 7.

Site Manager Rob Selkow presented the founding of Clarksvillenow.com, while Reporter Lee Erwin discussed how severe weather and public safety stories are covered on the company’s five radio stations (Q108, Beaver 100.3, Z97.5, Rewind 94.3, and ESPN Clarksville 100.7).

Assistant Site Manager Nicole June reviewed the top stories of 2013 including the Hankook Tire plant announcement, sink holes, and the effects of the government shutdown on Fort Campbell.

The presentation was complemented by a program of the year in photos. “We enjoyed presenting to Kiwanis and thank them for the invitation and feedback,” said Selkow. “We’re now working on a new program to present to several other civic groups and schools.”

The Kiwanis Club of Clarksville supports many nonprofit organizations and events in the community with their annual Pancake Day, Rodeo, Auction, Faces of Valor, and Children’s Christmas Party.
