CLARKSVILLE, TN – Clarksville Screaming Eagles Youth Football recently took home three football championships and two 1st place trophies in cheer competitions.
Clarksville Screaming Eagles (CSE) traveled to Mt. Juliet, TN, and Lebanon, TN, for the Tennessee Youth Sports Alliance (TYSA) 2023 championship and cheer competition. TYSA is the largest youth football and cheer league in Middle Tennessee, with 12 communities, including Smyrna, Lebanon, Gallatin, and Brentwood, to name a few.
The season started in July, and 1st games kicked off at the end of August. CSE started with 7 Football teams consisting of one 6U, two 8U, two 10U, two 12U teams, and four cheer Squads ages 5 through 13.
Saturday, CC/8U, Head Coached by Dontavious Smith, beat Smyrna Bulldogs 24 to 0, making them the 2023 CC TYSA undefeated champions. AA/ 12U, Head Coached by Pooky Bogertey, defeated Brentwood Blaze 12 to 6, making them AA TYSA champions. AAA/ 12U, Head Coached by Jeremiah Hampton, beat Brentwood Blaze 38 to 0, making them AAA TYSA champions.
Sunday, CSE Platinum Cheer Squad, Head Coached by April Smith, won 1st place in the A Division Varsity Mix. CSE Gold Cheer Squad, Head Coached by Shaneika Williams, won 1st place in the B Division.
