CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Clarksville Women’s Rugby Football Club is currently looking for new players to join them as their fall season starts with games and bi-weekly practices.
The team, known as the Valkyries, has practice at 6:30 p.m. every Monday and Wednesday evening at the MWR Recreation Fields outside of Gate 10 in Fort Campbell, located at 1498 Lafayette Road. The location is across from the MWR Outdoor Recreation building.
The group accepts potential team members of all levels of experience and physical ability. No experience is necessary to play. Those interested in attending should wear cleats or tennis shoes, a mouth guard and old athletic clothes to practice. Tank tops are not permitted.
The remaining games on the team’s fall 2014 schedule are:
October 4 – playing at Heart of Dixie in Huntsville, AL
October 11 – vs. Western Kentucky University
October 25 – vs. Molly Pitchers and Memphis Rugby in a Halloween Round Robin
November 11 – at Middle Tennessee State University
