CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A Clarksville women is arrested for counterfeit controlled substances after her vehicle was searched during a traffic stop.

The warrant states Jodie Sovia was pulled over on Vaughn and Highway 76 for not using a turn signal. The arresting officer observed a small amount of scouring pad (drug paraphernalia) and requested consent to search the vehicle.

After Sovia and her passenger consented to the search, the officer found crack/cocaine smoking items and also a plastic bag with white powder in Sovia’s purse. The rock substances tested positive for cocaine in a field test and the white powder was not conclusive.

According to the warrant Sovia stated that the powder was ground up blood pressure pills and that she was going to sell it to a co-worker as cocaine for money.

Jodie Sovia was arrested for counterfeit controlled substance “Bunk Dope” and had a bond amount of $2,500. “Bunk Dope” is a Class E felony.
