CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A Clarksville woman was arrested for her alleged involvement in two separate shooting incidents Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.
According to an arrest warrant, the victim told police that he and Cheryl Palmer, 23, had gotten into an argument at Gateway Hospital and the man called a cab to go back to his hotel room. He said when Palmer saw him leaving she rushed to her vehicle. When the man returned to his room, he noticed his .22 caliber gun was missing.
When the victim went down to the hotel lobby, he said he saw Palmer driving with her window halfway down. She then allegedly stuck the gun out of the window and shot at him.
Palmer later admitted to taking the gun and shooting at the victim. She then threw the weapon off Ringgold Bridge.
In a separate incident on Wednesday, police were called to a home on Tobacco Rd. for a shots fired call and discovered bullet holes on the exterior of a home. The victim said eight people, including five juveniles, were in the home at the time of the shooting.
According to an arrest warrant, a witness told police she had seen a silver car with one headlight stop in front of the home and shoot at it. A resident said Palmer had been at the home earlier that day and was involved in an argument with one of the occupants.
Officers made contact with Palmer at another location and found shell casings in her vehicle that matched those on Tobacco Rd. She later admitted during an interview that she had fired the shots at the home.
Palmer was booked into the Montgomery County Jail and charged with aggravated assault, theft, and reckless endangerment.
