CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Construction is moving along quickly on the new Old Glory Distilling Company, 451 Alfred Thun Road in Clarksville with plans for an opening for their event venue sometime in December with tours and tastings planned for early next year.

Matt Cunningham, Proprietor, recently gave Clarksvillenow.com a tour of the facility and talked about why the distillery will be special for the community. He said he wanted to bring something to Clarksville that people would be excited about, they could embrace, and really be proud of.

“We’ve got a lot of industry here but a lot of it is stuff people have a hard time putting their hands on. We wanted to bring something here that you could come see exactly how it’s made from start to finish and actually take a product that we made home with you,” said Cunningham.

Along with tours featuring the distilling process and the event venue which will seat around 400, there will be a gift shop and a tasting room. Some of the products Old Glory will start with are Tennessee Vodka, Jumper’s Stash White Rum and Smooth Shine Tennessee Moonshine. Cunningham added that Tennessee whiskey and bourbon will be 80 percent of their production but that won’t be available for 2-4 years.
