CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (ESPN CLARKSVILLE) The Clarksville Wildcats shutout the West Creek Coyotes, 42-0 Friday night in a soggy Senior night game.
The Wildcats started the game with a big return from Price Warfield and never slowed down. Donte Hurd punched it in on the next play for the touchdown.
Clarksville’s defense forced a turnover on downs, and the Wildcats drove down the field. Quarterback Ford Cooper hits Devyn Bender in the end zone for a touchdown.
Samuel Smith had a big game with three touchdowns on the night. Ford Cooper had a couple of big runs and ran for a touchdown.
It was all Clarksville High on the scoreboard. West Creek showed promise but couldn’t capitalize. The Coyotes end the season with a 1-9 record.
Clarksville ends the regular season with an 8-2 record and hosts Southwind in the first round of the playoffs, next Friday.
It’s the first time in ten years that Clarksville is hosting a first-round playoff game.
