CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Temperatures will reach the low 90’s through Saturday with heat index values approaching 100 degrees, which could pose a health risk.
Areas of southern Kentucky, including Hopkinsville, Elkton and Cadiz may see readings exceed 105 degrees. A special weather statement issued by the Naional Weather Service in Paducah says a Heat Advisory may be required.
Warnings are issued when the hit index hits 105, but even at 100 it is advised that you limit outdoor activity, drink plenty of water and take frequent breaks when outdoors.

Children and pets should not be left in hot cars unattended.
