CLARKSVILLE, TN – In a show of unity and support for Donate Life Tennessee and to honor Tennessee donor heroes, the R.J. Corman Bridge and County Courthouse will be lit on Blue & Green Day, Friday, April 12.
The bridge will be illuminated in blue and green, and the courthouse will be in shades of blue, creating a captivating visual display highlighting the significance of organ, eye and tissue donation.
Additionally, the county issued a proclamation on April 8 recognizing April as Donate Life Month and observing the national initiative to bring awareness to the importance of organ, eye and tissue donation. More than 110 lives are saved every day because of organ donation, still 100,000 Americans are awaiting their lifesaving transplant. Approximately, 3,000 of those waiting patients are Tennesseans.
Citizens are encouraged to show their support by lighting their homes and sharing blue and green day photos on social media, tagging @tndonorservices or @donatelifetn.
Give hope and help save lives by registering your decision to be an organ, eye and tissue donor at your local Driver Services Center or #BeTheGiftToday.com.
