CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Shiloh Industries, Inc., a leading supplier of lightweighting, noise and vibration solutions, has announced the opening of its Montgomery County aluminum die casting plant.

The site was acquired by Shiloh in August of 2013. Shiloh has initiated renovations, upgrades, and the addition of new equipment to the facility and estimates it will invest over $20 million along with adding more than 150 new jobs to the area. The investment and new jobs will be made over the course of the next five years.

The plant is approximately 125,000 sq. ft. and one of five Shiloh large tonnage, high-pressure die casting facilities in the U.S.

Since taking over control of the Clarksville plant, Shiloh has been steadily investing in the facility, including upgrades to the quality lab, die cast cells, x-ray systems and employee facilities. Additionally, the plant is expanding its range of 1600-ton die cast machines to include a 2,500-ton machine and overall infrastructure improvements.

“The continued investment and commitment to our Clarksville facility will allow us to add capacity for our high pressure and structural, aluminum die castings – leading technologies that help our customers reduce vehicle weight,” added Hermiz. “Clarksville is strategically located near several
automotive companies and we have opened the facility with the launch of a commercial vehicle program.”
