CLARKSVILLE, TN – Clarksville Urban Ministries SafeHouse is hosting a raffle drawing for a Bahamas vacation to benefit domestic violence survivors.

They will draw the winning ticket on March 3 at 8 a.m. live on the radio on Q108, WCVQ FM 107.9. Urban Ministries staff will be live on the air with the Q108 Morning Crew. The last day to purchase a ticket to be eligible for the drawing is Friday, Feb. 24.

The winner will get a seven-day stay on a private yacht in the Bahamas for up to six people. Airfare to the Bahamas is also included. Explore the islands, fish, raft, scuba dive, snorkel or just soak up the sun. The package was donated by John and Jennell Crabb.

The proceeds of the raffle will be used to help Urban Ministries SafeHouse renovate a new domestic violence shelter facility with more beds to accommodate the growing need for services.

“The need for domestic violence services has drastically increased in our area,” said SafeHouse Program Director Maricza Hinnah. “We are hoping to raise enough funds to double our capacity and add a transitional living program. The ultimate goal is ensuring domestic violence survivors and their minor children have a safe place to go and the services needed to break free from the cycle of domestic abuse.”
