CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The Clarksville Running Club (CRC) is hosting the 14th Annual Wilma Rudolph Race Saturday, June 22 at Sango United Methodist Church, 3301 Sango Rd. On site registration opens at 5:45 a.m. with both the 5K and 10K races starting at 7 a.m.
Each year proceeds from the event benefits a local nonprofit organization and funds raised this year go to the Mike O’ Hara Memorial Scholarship Fund for local high school runners who are seniors entering college. This year, the Clarksville Running Club will award four $500 scholarships.
O’ Hara, who recently passed away, was a CRC member who was considered a great ambassador for the running community and the club. He was also an accomplished marathon runner and was described as an integral part of the success of the Clarksville Running Club.
