CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Clarksville Police Department wants to warn the public about recent scams related to building repairs that have been reported in the area.
In both incidents, men from a company called Legacy Building and Contracting INC showed up at the homes of the victims and told them they were in the neighborhood inspecting roofs for storm damage.
The men told the victims they had storm damage and needed roof replacement. When their own insurance companies’ roof inspectors came to inspect the roofs, they said that the shingles had been vandalized by cutting tools and had been bent by something other than wind damage.
Two suspects were named in both incidents: Tommy Radcliffe and Neil. Both suspects are white males.
Residents are urged to beware of Legacy Building and Contracting INC. An Allstate representative involved in one of the incidents said they have dealt with similar complaints about Legacy.
