CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville Police successfully negotiated with a man facing a mental health crisis Monday morning and were able to resolve the situation peacefully and without injury to himself.
The area near 2838 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard, where Red Lobster is located, (South Hampton and North Edgewood Drive) was closed for several hours as Clarksville Police investigated a call concerning a man parked in the parking lot wanting to take his life.
Residents were asked to avoid the area and seek an alternate route.
At about 11:50 a.m., police reported the man surrendered to the TACT team peacefully. All roads were reopened for regular traffic.
