CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW)- Clarksville Police arrested several adults and juveniles in connection with a car and handgun stolen in cities outside of Clarksville.

A 2008 Toyota Avalon stolen out of Centerville, Tenn. on Oct 20, 2019, and a 9mm handgun stolen out of Nashville on Sept 2, 2019, were recovered in Clarksville.  There were three adults and two juveniles charged in connection with the stolen car and handgun.

Officers spotted the stolen Avalon around 4 p.m., Tuesday, on Oct. 22  near West Dunbar Cave Road.  When police tried to perform a traffic stop, the driver and occupants fled in the vehicle at a high rate of speed.  The vehicle was found later, unoccupied, at Bauling Ln.

Police identified and located the occupants. When officers had contact with the suspects, the stolen 9mm was found at one of their residents.  Additionally, there was marijuana located inside of the stolen vehicle.

The arrests highlight how vehicles stolen from other locations are found in Clarksville, just as vehicles stolen from Clarksville are found outside of Clarksville.  

Amazae Farrow, 18, was charged with two counts of theft of property. His bond was set at $26,000. Shomari Moody, 18, was charged with theft of property, simple possession and auto theft. His bond was set at $226,000. Marcus Jackson, 18, was cited for simple possession and evading.

A 15-year-old who was the driver of the stolen car was charged with theft of property, evading arrest and simple possession. A 16-year-old was charged with simple possession and evading arrest.
