CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – One person was injured in a chain reaction crash at a Clarksville gas station Wednesday afternoon.

According to Clarksville police, a Buick driven by an 80-year-old woman was pulling into the Dodge’s Store parking lot at 1504 Fort Campbell Blvd. around 4:40 p.m. and accelerated for an unknown reason.

Police said the woman swerved to avoid hitting the building and hit an unoccupied Toyota Camry being refueled at the gas pumps. The Camry hit a woman who was refueling at the pump, then knocked the pump onto a parked and unoccupied Mazda CX-5.

The 56-year-old hit at the gas pumps was transported to Tennova Medical Center and is in stable condition.
