CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A driver was injured Monday morning in Clarksville after his pickup truck rolled down an embankment on the 41A Bypass (Ashland City Road).
Police said a 52-year-old man was driving a Chevy pickup south on the Bypass when a Hyundai driven by a 21-year-old man pulled out in front of him from Riverwood Place. Police said the 21-year-old failed to yield and hit the pickup, causing it to roll down an embankment.
The truck rolled over several times before landing upright at the bottom of the embankment.
The pickup driver had to be extricated from the vehicle and was taken by ambulance to Tennova with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Hyundai was uninjured.
The Hyundai driver was cited for failure to use reasonable care and expired tag.
