CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville police have located a woman who was reported wandering the streets with a naked child.

Surveillance footage from a business on Cunningham Lane showed the woman behaving erratically and wandering late at night.

Police issued an update around 4:30 Tuesday morning that the two have been located and they’re both ok.

The woman was not wanted for a crime. Police released her picture in an attempt to identify her to check on the well-being of her and the child.

The search started after an establishment on Cunningham Lane captured footage of the woman May 5 around 11:15 p.m. The footage shows her carrying a naked child and wandering aimlessly. Police also described her behavior as erratic. She did not appear to have any clothes in her hands for the child.

The establishment discovered the footage May 7 and notified police. The woman initially appeared in the video with the child heading from South Jordan Road on the sidewalk on Cunningham Lane. About an hour and a half later she was seen walking in the opposite direction back toward South Jordan Rd.
