CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville police are looking for witnesses of a shooting that occurred March 10 around 4 a.m. outside a club at the 2600 block of Fort Campbell Blvd.

Investigators are also trying to locate and talk to 32-year-old Jeffrey Hairston and 25-year-old Jordon Hairston. Police said they were at the scene and may have information about the case.

The incident began when a fight broke out among several individuals in the club’s parking lot. The physical fighting had nearly come to an end and the parking lot was clearing when the confrontation started to heat up again after verbal exchanges occurred between some of the remaining people on the lot.

At some point, two men emerged from a light-colored BMW and began shooting towards the building.

Two men were struck by the gunfire. One man in his 60s was hit in the leg and another man in his 30s sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Both were transported to a Nashville hospital.

The man in his 60s is still in the hospital in critical, but stable condition. The other man, later identified as 38-year-old Jonte Bailey, was treated and released from the hospital. However, he had outstanding warrants and was taken into custody and booked into the Montgomery County jail for FUGITIVE-WANTED BY ANOTHER STATE, VIOLATIONS OF COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS, EVADING ARREST, DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED LICENSE, DRUGS FOR MANUFACTURE, SELL, DELIVERY – COCAINE, DRUGS FOR MANUFACTURE, SELL, DELIVERY – MARIJUANA, DRUGS – SIMPLE POSSESSION X 2, RESISTING, STOP, FRISK, ARREST AND SEARCH. His bond was set at $400,000.

Based on the preliminary investigation, police said there is no indication this was a random act and the public is not in danger.
