CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville Police are investigating the homicide of a 31-year-old man who was found shot to death on College Street following a fight.
At approximately midnight on Tuesday, October 22, CPD were responding to a fight in progress call in the 900 block of College street. Before they could arrive, 911 dispatch received a shooting in progress call for the same location.
When officers arrived, they found a 31-year-old man with a gunshot wound and unresponsive. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crime scene is being processed and the homicide investigation continues.
Based on interviews of witnesses at the scene, police are following solid leads in the case, but there has not been an arrest made or warrant issued. Also, it is believed the victim and suspect knew each other.
