CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Clarksville Police Department was recognized at the Statewide Candlelight Vigil and Awards Ceremony for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD). The ceremony was held on Tuesday, December 4, at the Nashville Airport Marriott Hotel.
The Clarksville Police Department received the Middle Tennessee Outstanding Agency Award for their commitment to the community, and for their participation in DUI Checkpoints, community education and outreach, and underage drinking prevention classes.
At the annual event, MADD Tennessee honors and remembers victims of substance impaired driving and underage drinking, and recognizes enforcement heroes for their commitment to protecting Tennesseans from these crimes.
