CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The Clarksville Police Department held a promotions ceremony Thursday, Aug. 30 with four officers stepping up in the ranks and being recognized for their law enforcement service.
Police Chief Al Ansley has promoted officer Liane Wilson to the position of Captain, which makes her the first female police officer to serve as Captain in the department.
“I am obviously honored to be the first female Captain for the Clarksville Police Department. I feel I’ve worked hard and I absolutely love what I do,” Wilson said.
Officer David Crockarell shared his feelings about his promotion to Deputy Chief.
“It means a lot, I’m looking forward to getting to work. There are always challenges and improvements to be made and I hope I’m up for the challenge, I know I’m sure going to try,” Crockarell said.
In addition to the other promotions, Officer Beau Skinner was promoted to Lieutenant and Officer Raymon Carroll was promoted to Sergeant.
