CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Three man have been arrested and charged with patronizing prostitution during a recent online sting by Clarksville police.
On Thursday, September 15, Vice and Narcotics agents of the Clarksville Police Departments Special Operations Unit conducted operations targeting prostitution on backpage.com. Police said the focus of the operation was centered on those who patronize prostitution in an effort to not only reduce this type of activity but to prevent assaults and robberies against the solicitors.
“These types of operations are ongoing with a fair warning to those that solicit prostitution online: The person on the other end of that web page just might be the police,” Special Operations Unit Commander Captain Gipson said.
The following individuals were arrested:

• Jeffrey Stevens DOB: 07/07/1963, who gave a Hopkinsville, KY address was charged with Patronizing Prostitution and given a bond of $500.

• David George DOB: 01/07/1979, who gave a Clarksville address was charged with Patronizing Prostitution, Simple Possession, and Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia. He was given a bond of $250.

• Vernon Porter DOB: 05/25/1997, who gave a Clarksville address was charged with Patronizing Prostitution and given a bond of $250.
