CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW)-  Clarksville Police arrested a 19-year-old man charged in connection with a drive-by shooting in July.

William Boughner, 19, was indicted in the October term of the Montgomery County grand jury and charged with the July 7, 2019  shooting of a 15-year-old boy on Oak Lane.

There were multiple bystanders when the shooting took place which generated aggravated assault charges for Boughner. Bougher was also  indicted for involvement in carjackings, vehicle thefts, and an aggravated robbery which took place in July

The victim, now 16, of the shooting continues to recover from injuries sustained in the shooting.

Boughner was taken in custody today after he walked into the Vista Lane precinct to retrieve a phone that he had surrendered to police for involvement in another criminal case.

He was unaware of the indictments and was arrested without incident.

Boughner was booked into the Montgomery County Jail and charged with: attempted murder, three counts of aggravated assault, two counts of possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony,  aggravated robbery, carjacking and two counts of theft of property. His bond was set at $200,000.

Additional charges are pending.

The lead investigators are Detective Beaubien and Detective Carlton.
