CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville Parks & Recreation is offering a variety of spooky and fun events this fall. Family-friendly events are affordably priced and will take place at several Parks and Recreation venues:

Ghost Tours with Clarksville BCycle: Don’t miss this haunted guided tour through APSU’s campus. Held Friday, Oct 11, 6 – 8 p.m. The ride will stop at historical points of interest with dark pasts. Tickets are $20 per person. APSU students can use their BCycle promo code to receive $5 off. Learn more at Clarksville.BCycle.com.

The new Pumpkin Carving Saturday will be held on Saturday, Oct 12 from Noon-2 p.m. Surprise your friends and the whole neighborhood by carving or painting a jack-o-lantern at Crow Recreation Center that will glow for the Halloween season. The fee is $5 per pumpkin. Pre-registration is encouraged.

Join in the Floating Pumpkin Patch on Saturday, Oct 19 from 2 – 5:30 p.m. Ditch those dusty pumpkin patches and choose your pumpkin from New Providence Pool. Enjoy pumpkin decorating, face painting, games and more. The fee is $5 per person or $8 per person with pumpkin (while supplies last). Pre-register to guarantee your pick!

Haunted Swim on Saturday, Oct 19 will be held at New Providence Pool from 7 – 10:30 p.m. When daylight leaves the ghouls and goblins will come out for a haunted evening swim at New Providence Pool. Frightful lifeguards, swimming, and music will make for a scary good time! The fee is $5 per person or $8 with pumpkin included (while supplies last).

Superhero Party is designed for children 10 and under. Held Thursday, Oct 24 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. children and their families can enjoy an evening of games while sporting their favorite superhero costume at Burt-Cobb Recreation Center. The fee is $3 per child.

The new Liberty Park Halloween Takeover is taking place on Friday, Oct 25 from 5 – 7 p.m. Participate in Halloween-themed crafts,
pumpkin decorating contest, scavenger hunt and making spooky treats. Decorated pumpkins will be displayed and judged at Fright on Franklin on Saturday, Oct. 26. The fee is $10 per person.

Halloween at Fort Defiance will be Friday, Oct 25 from 6 – 8 p.m. Visitors are invited to gather around the bonfire at Fort Defiance to hear historical tales of haunted places and frightful faces. Hot dogs and hot chocolate will be served. Recommended for ages 8 and up.

The annual Fright on Franklin is always a hit! On Saturday, Oct 26 from 3 – 6 p.m. historic downtown Clarksville will transform into a frightfully fun scene, free for the entire family. Don’t miss themed activities and safe trick-or-treating on Franklin Street. Dress to impress for the popular costume contest to win big. Pre-registration is required for the costume contest. Spots are limited!

Scare-Crow will take place at the Crow Recreation Center. This free indoor trunk or treat event will be Thursday, Oct 31 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. featuring games, costume contests, treats and more.
