CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The 2024-25 high school football season was one for the books and saw a lot of team success. It’s now time to honor players representing Montgomery County schools with the third annual Clarksville Now All-Area Football Team and Player of the Year.
There’s a wide variety of talented individuals who make up each high school team, but these players separated themselves from the rest. All statistics were contributed by Clarksville-area coaches
Quarterback: Miles Reding, Kirkwood High. Reding was incredibly efficient in his first year with the Cobras. The sophomore totaled 1,936 yards through the air, which included 24 passing touchdowns. He also had one rushing touchdown, along with a 118.2 QBR. Reding was the leader in 6A football for passing yards and passing touchdowns, resulting in him being named a semi-finalist for TSSAA Mr. Football Award.
Quarterback: Jacoby Cox, Kenwood High. Cox was Mr. do it all for the Knights during the 2024-25 season. The quarterback passed for over 1,327 yards through the air, along with 11 passing touchdowns. Meanwhile, he also showcased his ability to make defenders miss in the open field. Cox ran for over 434 rushing yards and punched in 7 rushing touchdowns.
Running Back: Josiah Claybrooks, Kirkwood High. Josiah Claybrooks was a strong, shifty running back who led the Cobra’s rushing attack this past season. Claybrooks totaled 1,475 rushing yards with 11 rushing touchdowns in 2024, and he also tallied 210 yards receiving yards and three reception touchdowns. On defense, he had 14 tackles, four tackles for a loss, one interception and two forced fumbles.
Running Back: James Dalrymple, Clarksville High. A year after being named Clarksville Now Player of the Year, Dalrymple returns to the Clarksville Now All-Area Team following yet another impressive season. Dalrymple led the way for the Wildcats in an offense that spreads the ball around. The running back totaled 1,096 all-purpose yards and added 13 total touchdowns to his totals along with five two-points conversions. Dalrymple also tallied 20 tackles, two tackles for loss and one and a half sacks on defense.
Running Back: Ahmorye Galbreath, Clarksville High. Galbreath was a bruising, powerful back for the Wildcats this season earning him all area honors. He tallied 711 all-purpose yards in 2024 along with three touchdowns, and 2 two-point conversions. Galbreath also had 75 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, a forced fumble, and an interception on defense.

Wide Receiver: Terry Jones, Northeast High. Jones was a threat anytime he was on the field for the Eagles, and he was a great jump ball target. The receiver collected 586 receiving yards and five touchdowns’ receptions. Jones ended up leading region 7-6A in receiving yards. The playmaker also tallied 148 return yards on special teams, and two interceptions on defense.
Wide Receiver: Erice Greene, Fort Campbell. Greene was a deep threat that could take the top off a defense for the Falcons. Greene tallied 466 yards receiving on only 21 receptions, for an average of 21.2 yards per reception and eight receiving touchdowns. Greene also had 74 rushing yards and a touchdown on four carries.
Wide Receiver: Gavin Hunter, Kirkwood High. Wherever Hunter lined up on the field he was a threat for opposing defenses during the 2024 season. The playmaker compiled 32 receptions for 444 yards and 6 reception touchdowns. On defense, he finished the year with 26 tackles, two tackles for a loss and three interceptions.
Wide Receiver: Chris Ragans, Clarksville Academy. Ragans was a jack of all trades for the Cougars offense in 2024. The receiver tallied 371 receiving yards on 25 receptions, including 2 reception touchdowns. Ragans also tallied 269 kick return yards and on 16 rushing attempts, he ran for 76 yards and a touchdown. Ragans was also effective on defense, collecting 29 tackles, one sack, one interception and two forced fumbles.
Tight End: Ben Moore, Clarksville High. Moore was an iron-man throughout his high school career, starting a total of 46 straight games for the Wildcats. Moore blocked for an offense that rushed for over 3,000 yards, caught 10 passes for 100 yards and a touchdown, along with collecting 31 tackles, five tackles for loss, a sack, two fumble recoveries, and a fumble recovery touchdown on defense.
Offensive Line: Justin Vaughn, Montgomery Central. Vaughn started all 10 games for an offense that rushed for over 1,500 yards during the 2024-25 high school football season.
Offensive Line: Kamari Blair, Kirkwood High. Blair was dominant in the trenches for the Cobras, amassing 60 pancake blocks in 2024. On defense, Blair accounted for 20 tackles, seven tackles for loss, two sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
Offensive Line: Logan Piekielko, Rossview High. Piekielko started all eleven games at tackle for the Rossview High Hawks and ended the year with an 85% grading. He also amassed 13 pancake blocks.
Offensive Line: RaeShawn Boyce, Clarksville High. Boyce allowed zero sacks during the 2024-25 season and added 30 pancake blocks to his all-area resume. He also blocked for an offense that rushed for over 3,000 yards.
Offensive Line: Trevon Boyce, Clarksville High. Trevon Boyce also allowed zero sacks during the 2024-25 season for CHS and had 25 pancake blocks. Trevon too was a crucial reason why the Wildcats were able to rush for over 3,000 yards.
Defensive All-Area Football Team
Defensive Line: Moses Byrd, Kirkwood High. Byrd was a force on both sides of the ball for the Cobras. On the defensive end, he collected 59 tackles, nine tackles for loss, two sacks, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. Byrd also had 14 catches for 314 yards and four touchdowns on offense.
Defensive Line: Josiah Brown, Kenwood High. Brown consistently found himself in the opposing backfield for the Knights this past season. He collected 71 tackles including two sacks and one fumble recovered for a touchdown. Offensively, he compiled 419 rushing yards and four touchdowns.
Defensive Line: Ahvare Galbreath, Clarksville High. Galbreath was a versatile and key piece for the Wildcats defense in 2024. He ended the year with 54 tackles, five tackles for loss, two sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. He also rushed for 239 yards and found the endzone seven times on offense.

Linebacker: Keshawn Dixon, Fort Campbell. Dixon led the state of Kentucky in tackles during the 2024-25 high school football regular season and ended his season with 172 total tackles. Dixon also had 23 tackles for loss, one sack and two interceptions. Offensively, Dixon posted 948 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns for the Fort Campbell ground attack. Then, as a receiver, he had 175 receiving yards with one touchdown reception.
Linebacker: Kanyon Conner, Montgomery Central. Conner was the Indians leading tackler in 2024, as he compiled 108 tackles, but also had two interceptions and one fumble recovery. Offensively, he rushed for 488 yards and two rushing touchdowns and added 62 receiving yards to his totals.
Linebacker: Jack Stein, Clarksville High. Stein was another tackling machine in the Clarksville area. The linebacker collected 109 tackles for the Wildcats, and he also had 19 tackles for loss, five sacks, four forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and blocked a punt. Stein also rushed for 454 yards with eight rushing touchdowns while tallying 143 yards receiving as well.
Linebacker: Kingston Leon, West Creek. Leon was an anchor for the Coyote defense throughout the 2024-25 season. The middle linebacker finished the year with 107 tackles, two sacks, three forced fumbles and recovered two fumbles for touchdowns.
Linebacker: Kole Phillips, Rossview High. The Hawk’s captain was a problem on the defensive side of the ball all season for opposing offenses. Phillips tallied 83 tackles with five tackles for loss, three sacks and one interception. Phillips also had seven touchdowns offensively, averaging 8.6 yards per carry.

Defensive Back: Floyd Dodwell, Clarksville Academy. Dodwell was a versatile defensive back for the Cougars in 2024 who provided run support and made plays in the passing game. He collected 62 total tackles in 2024 with two sacks and one interception.
Defensive Back: Torrance Dixon, Fort Campbell. Dixon was another ball hawk in the area as he consistently made plays for the Falcons in 2024. The DB finished the season with 87 tackles including 12 tackles for loss, while also having five interceptions, four of which he returned for touchdowns.
Defensive Back: Destin Jones, Northeast High. Jones recorded 44 tackles and recovered one fumble as a freshman for the Eagles in 2024. However, the stat that really jumps out is the five interceptions he came away with as a ball hawk for Northeast’s secondary.
Defensive Back: Anthony Holland, Northwest High. Holland did it all for the Vikings in 2024. On defense, he recorded 25 tackles, one forced fumble, two interceptions and broke up four passes. Offensively, he collected 321 all-purpose yards with two touchdowns. As for special teams, he tallied 342 return yards.
Punter: Jacob Wiggins, Clarksville High. Wiggins averaged 47 yards per punt, nearly flipping the field position every time his number was called. Wiggins season long punt was recorded at 58 yards.
Placekicker: Mick Casto, Rossview High. Casto was nearly perfect on PAT’s, going 25 for 26 on the season. He also went 10 for 14 on field goals, including kicking a 40-yard field goal, which was his longest recorded make in 2024. Casto ranked third in the state in field goals made.
Clarksville Now Player of the Year
Keshawn Dixon, Fort Campbell. Dixon is the definition of a stat sheet stuffer, which has earned him the honor as the Clarksville Now Player of the Year. While leading the state of Kentucky in tackles with 172, Dixon also had 23 tackles for loss, one sack and two interceptions. He did it on both sides of the ball too, as he rushed for over 948 yards and added 175 yards receiving yards to his totals. He also had 13 total touchdowns during the 2024-25 season. More importantly, he was able to contribute to a Fort Campbell football team which recorded their first winning season in over a decade.
Offensive Player of the Year: Miles Reding, Kirkwood High. Reding led 6A in passing yards and passing touchdowns as he orchestrated the lethal passing attack for the Cobras offense in 2024. With that being said, Reding has earned Clarksville Now Offensive Player of the Year honors. In total, he finished the season with 1,936 yards passing, 24 touchdowns through the air and one touchdown on the ground.
Defensive Player of the Year: Jack Stein- Clarksville High. Stein has received Defensive Player of the Year honors for his effort and dominance throughout the 2024-25 high school football season. He collected 109 tackles, including 19 tackles for loss, five sacks, four forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and you can’t forget his blocked punt. Stein also accounted for 597 all-purpose yards on offense with eight total touchdowns.
Special teams Player of the Year: Mick Casto, Rossview High. Casto was a crucial piece of the Hawks scoring throughout the year, and his production has earned him Special Teams’ Player of the Year honors. He finished 2024 with 25 made extra points, as well as 10 made field goals. When the season concluded, Casto ranked third in the state of Tennessee in made field goals.
Coach of the Year: Isaac Shelby, Clarksville High. Isaac Shelby completed his second-straight undefeated regular season, which makes him the first to accomplish such an achievement in the Clarksville-area history. In addition, Shelby also became the all-time winningest coach in Clarksville High football history. With that being said, Shelby receives Clarksville Now Coach of the Year honors.
