CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The 6th Annual Go Green for Africa Run is set for Saturday, March 9 at Grace Community Church, 2853 Dunlop Lane in Clarksville.
The event features a 10K, 5K, 1-Mile Fun Run and a Leprechaun Loop for kids age one to four years old. The 10K and 5K will be chip-timed by the Clarksville Running Club and the 1-mile Fun Run will be manually timed.
Funds raised at the event will support the work of Project Yesu. Founded in 2011 by then 11-year-old Mallory Fundora, Project Yesu was formed out of a simple wish to help orphaned and vulnerable children in Uganda.
“Project Yesu provides some of the critical needs necessary to break the cycle of poverty such as food and education, by connecting others worldwide with the passion we have for the children of Uganda,” Fundora said.
