CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A local non-profit dedicated to sharing the arts through free classes and workshops in the community, is in need of art supplies.
Arts for Hearts is a 501c3 non-profit program of the Arts and Heritage Development Council. The organization is looking for donations from the community to continue to offer their classes and workshops throughout the Clarksville area.
Since June 2016, volunteers have hosted over 300 classes for people of all ages offering creative opportunities to more than 3,500 participants. The mission of Arts for Hearts is to bring the joy that comes with creating art to everyone in our community. “The mobile art program inspires creativity, connects community and enriches lives,” said Rita Arancibia, founder of Arts for Hearts.
Arts for Hearts, in collaboration with the Habitat for Humanity Restore, will host “Hearts Need Art” supply drive from November 4-11. Donations can be dropped off at the Restore, 404 Madison Street, during regular business hours.
Items needed include: acrylic paints, paint brushes, watercolors, watercolor paper, mixed media paper, cardstock, scrapbooking supplies, Elmer’s glue, glue sticks, wipes, paper towels, plastic table cloths, markers and more.
