CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville native Casey Donnellan released his newest game, “Kill it with Fire,” on Steam last week to positive reviews. Five Star Media’s own Moe Bradshaw played through the demo.

“Kill it with Fire,” bills itself as a first person action game that pits challenges the player to hunt spiders in their home while causing as much collateral damage as possible. The game provides an array of weapons increasingly excessive weapons to combat their 8-legged prey, including a clipboard, hairspray flamethrower, throwing stars and rocket launchers.

The publishing studio, TinyBuild Games is responsible for 2017’s hit, Hello Neighbor.

Reviews of the game have been largely positive since its August 13 release, with online personalities such as Jacksepticeye praising it’s whimsical aesthetic.

Mo Bradshaw of z97.5 and 100.3 the Beaver played the demo, giving it 3.5 out 5 stars, saying that his main complaint was that he wanted more.

A UT Knoxville graduate, Donnellan worked as a senior game engineer for Rooster Teeth Productions until 2019 when he struck off on his own as an independent creator. He has worked on projects like RWBY: Grimm Eclipse, and DOOM.

“This newest title is all me. I’ve been living off savings since I left my previous job last year.  It was a huge leap of faith, but I managed to build a great game, sign with an excellent publisher (TinyBuild), and we’re now poised for success,” says Donnellan.
