CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (ESPNCLARKSVILLE) – There are over one million high school football players across the country. Most of those dream of playing college football. But the reality is only about six percent of those make it to the NCAA level, with only around 2 percent playing at the D1 level. For Clarksville native Caleb Rozar, this dream has become a reality.

The 6’4, 200 pound athlete will be taking the 2017 season as a North Carolina Tar Heel. Rozar, who boasted a totalrozar-1 of 10 offers from schools like Wake Forrest, Memphis, Austin Peay, Kentucky, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Louisville, and University of Texas-San Antonio, chose the Tar Heels after an extensive recruiting process.

“I really like the way they plan to use me and develop me into a great cornerback, and get a chance to play at the highest level, the NFL,” Rozar said. “My family and I really like the academic programs a lot.”

Rozar, who played two years at Northeast High School, will enter his second season at Dickson County High School as a senior. He took in the recruiting process as a great life experience.

“The recruiting process was really good,” he said. “I really enjoyed getting to see the different schools.”

Rozar credits his success to consistent hard work and dedication, and the support of his parents. One of his remaining goals is to help get Dickson County a championship. Dickson County opens their 2016 season August 19 against Creekwood.
