CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (ESPNCLARKSVILLE) – The Clarksville National Girls 11-12 All-Star team is headed to the Southeastern Regional in Warner Robins, Georgia.
After steamrolling through the district tournament by a combined score of 43-2, the Red Intensity swept through the State Tournament to bring home the title.
Coached by Joe Weatherford, David Littleton and David Brown, the team features deep pitching, good hitting and solid defense.
“This team is a pure joy to coach. The girls work hard, have great attitudes, and compliment their skills with an abundance of character. We hope to represent our community and the state of Tennessee well in Warner Robins,” Coach Weatherford said.
Clarksville National begins play on Thursday, July 28 against the Virginia state champs in a double elimination tournament. The winner of the Southeastern Regional will go to Portland, Oregon to compete in the Little League World Series.
