CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The local chapter of the NAACP will host its annual MLK Community Celebration leading up to a march in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Jan. 18.

The opening celebration and worship services were held Sunday, at St. John Missionary Baptist Church.

An adult panel discussion, youth educational workshops, and a mini health fair will be held Monday, Jan. 18 beginning at 8:30 a.m. at Burt Elementary School (110 Bailey Street).

Lunch will be served.

The march will begin at noon and leave from Burt Elementary, heading toward the downtown Clarksville area.
