CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Patrick Nichols recently received a lead on a rare discovery of a stash of classic muscle cars.

Nichols, a Clarksville, Tenn., native and muscle car enthusiasts, and hunter uncovers rare muscle cars in interesting locations across the country, often finds himself in old barns, garages, storage sheds, and backyards, unearthing classic car treasures.

This recent find was discovered in rusting tractor-trailers in a rural Kentucky salvage yard. Among vintage Mack trucks and tractor-trailers, there were hidden gems inside.

Nichols heard rumors about this salvage yard in the middle of nowhere but hadn’t confirmed it existed. Eventually, he was able to contact the landowner.

“The owner said it was true and gave me directions,” Nichols said. “I went back there and all of it was there.”

Among the finds in the salvage yard, were a Big Block SS Chevelles, Z 28 Camaros, Pontiac Firebird Convertible as well as rare GMs.

“This was a big hoard of four or five classic muscle cars,” Nichols said. “It’s really interesting that they are in the middle of nowhere in a tractor-trailer salvage yard.”

The owner who had collected cars for an estimated 40 years had tucked the cars away. The cars while a rare find weren’t for sale, but the owner wanted Nichols to know they existed.

Nichols is a contributing editor/writer for HotRod magazine and hosts the popular Patrick Glenn Nichols Musclecar Barn Finds channel on Youtube. He continues to find rare vintage vehicles across the U.S.
