CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The mother of a Clarksville man is asking for public assistance to find answers on her son’s homicide.

Maggie Yarbrough has come forward looking for anyone who can help police locate the person(s) responsible for the death of her son, Matthew Clark.

Matthew Clark, was 57 at time of his death. He was spotted by a passerby May 5, 2019, around 10 am, on the side of the road near a bus stop on Glendale Dr.

He was deceased when he was found. Initially, it appeared as though his death may have been as a result of being hit by a motor vehicle or an overdose.

As the investigation progressed, and with the recent receipt of forensic results, it was determined the death was a homicide. There have been numerous interviews and leads followed, but none have led to charges being filed.

Detectives on the case also believe there are people that have knowledge or information which can help to move the case forward and shed light on the events resulting in Matthew Clark’s death.

There was no indication this was a random act.
