MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn (CLARKSVILLENOW) – In response to Mayor Durrett’s declaration of a local state of emergency for Montgomery County on March 17, the Clarksville-Montgomery County Library y will close to the public beginning Thursday March 19 through at least Sunday, April 5.
The library will maintain a minimum crew of staff members to continue the essential functions of the library internally.
- Patrons may return items 24/7 to the book drop behind the library, however we will not be able to check out any new items to patrons.
- The library will extend the due dates of ALL items checked out currently to Friday, April 17th so Patrons can continue to enjoy those items without worrying about fines
- The library has many digital and online options for our patrons which we will put out on social media as time goes on
- All items on hold will remain on hold for our patrons through our re-opening
- We will offer online story times and Facebook live transmissions as often as possible.
- Patrons will still be able to call the library with questions at 931-648-8826.
“We are doing our part to help with this effort by the action we are taking,” said Martha Hendricks, Library Director. “We look forward to still serving our patrons even while our doors are closed and welcoming them back to the library when this unusual period has been resolved and our doors are once again open.”
