CLARKSVILLE, TN — The Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library (CMCPL) has received a $15,756 grant from the Tennessee State Library and Archives as part of the American Rescue Plan. CMCPL will match 20% of the awarded money, bringing the total amount to $19,695.

With these funds, CMCPL will upgrade and replace library technologies, purchase new printed material as well as add more options for digital material such as ebooks and audiobooks.

“We are thrilled for the library to have these funds available to increase our digital material which will allow us to meet the growing demand,” said Martha Hendricks, director of the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library.

“Likewise, upgrading some of our library technology will allow us to better manage our collection making the library more streamlined for patron use.”

This project was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services along with a grant contract from the State of Tennessee.
