CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Education Foundation hosted its Second Annual Red Carpet Teacher of the Year Awards, sponsored by James Corlew Chevrolet.

The three District Teachers of the Year were: from Kenwood High School, Abraham Wolfe (representing grades 9-12); from Kenwood Middle, Lindsay Karas (representing grades 5-8); and from Minglewood Elementary, Deborah Chancellor (representing Pre-Kindergarten-4).

Wolfe, Karas and Chancellor drew for the order in which they would choose a boxed gift. Two of the boxes contained diamond apple-shaped necklaces, donated by Elliott Herzlich of Elliott’s Jewelers; and the third box contained the key to a brand new Chevrolet Spark. Chancellor was the winner of the car.

The three will go on to compete at the regional level in the Tennessee Department of Education Teacher of the Year.

Other event sponsors included Elliott’s Jewelers and County Commissioner Charles Keene.
