CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Carol A. Berry, a candidate for the CMCSS Board of Education District 1, was recently endorsed by the Clarksville-Montgomery County Education Association.

“Carol is a life long educator, an outstanding advocate for public education, and she will take extensive professional, educational experience to the school board,” the Association said in a press release.

She led CMCEA to obtain Collaborative Conferencing when she served as President of the Association. She also served on the Tennessee Education Association Board of Directors.

Berry taught in Missouri, Texas, Department of Defense in Germany, and Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools.

Through the years, she taught K-8th grades, supervised student teachers, and taught college courses.

The association endorsement was sought by other candidates in the school board race, and Berry said she is honored to receive this endorsement.

“I am a caring, compassionate, and committed servant for the people. I am willing to serve on the Clarksville-Montgomery Board of Education to support and make a difference in our community,” Berry said. “According to Romans 8:28: ‘And we know that all things work together for good for those who love the Lord, and are called according to His purpose.’ I love God, and I am called to fulfill His Purpose.”

She said she is forever grateful for the endorsement, support, and prayers.
