HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Two Clarksville men were arrested on gun charges during a traffic stop in Hopkinsville Friday, Aug. 31.

According to Hopkinsville police, members of the Hopkinsville Christian County Violent Crimes Strike Force stopped a vehicle on Central Avenue and noticed the butt-stock of a shotgun on the backseat.

After searching the vehicle, detectives found two handguns, a .22 caliber UZI, and a stolen double-barreled shotgun.

The suspects were identified as 29-year-old Alexander Byrd and 41-year-old Juan Davilamercado, both of Clarksville. Investigators said the men are alleged members of the Sin City Disciples motorcycle group.

Both men were arrested and booked into the Christian County Jail.

Davilamercado was charged with using restricted ammo during a felony, first degree burglary, and receiving stolen property (firearm).

Byrd was charged with possession of firearm by convicted felon, possession of handgun by convicted felon, first degree burglary, and receiving stolen property (firearm).
