CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A Clarksville man has been sentenced to serve life in prison plus 20 years for the murder of a man during a home invasion in 2013.
According to court documents, 27-year-old Curtis Shelton, Jr. was found guilty of felony murder by a jury in February 2018. He was also convicted of multiple counts of aggravated kidnapping, especially aggravated burglary, and attempted robbery.
On Friday, Aug. 3, 2018, Shelton was sentenced to serve life plus 20 years in prison. He was found guilty of fatally shooting Miles Hendricks on July 21, 2013 at a home on Ranch Hill Drive.
Two other men, Kentavius Cheeks and Joseph Graham, were also previously found guilty of Hendricks’ murder. Court records indicate Cheeks was sentenced to 25 years and Graham was sentenced to life plus 20 years.
