CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A Clarksville man has been charged with first-degree murder in the deadly shooting behind Mizu Japanese Cuisine on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard in August 2025.

According to court filings, Antario Jameer Hyrne, 21, is charged with the murder of Noah William Peterson, 18. Also killed in the shootout was Makhi Charon Richardson, 24. Both victims were struck by gunfire during what police previously described as a planned meeting between two groups that escalated into a shootout.

After the shooting, Hyrne drove one of the victims from the restaurant to a nearby residence on Cabot Cove and removed a handgun from the original scene, placing it inside the home, according to a warrant. The warrant doesn’t say which victim was driven to Cabot Drive.

Court records show Hyrne was arrested multiple times in 2025 in the case: Aug. 13 on a tampering with evidence charge, Sept. 11 on an aggravated robbery charge, and Oct. 21 on the murder charge. A Montgomery County grand jury returned an indictment during its October 2025 term, charging Hyrne with first-degree murder of Peterson, aggravated robbery and tampering with evidence.

Peterson would have turned 19 on Jan. 9, according to his father, John Peterson.
