ORIGINAL REPORT:

A Cumberland Heights man was hospitalized the night of April 10 after two men broke into his home, beat him with a stick and took his wallet.

Montgomery County Investigators are seeking two suspects in the robbery, who the victim identified as Drevon Green, 21, and Michael Connor, 21. Both are on probation for another aggravated robbery in the area.

“I’ve secured warrants for aggravated robbery on both suspects,” said Investigator Geoff Blanchard. “More charges will follow at the investigations continue.”

Around 8:30 p.m., the victim was inside his Hilltop Road apartment when he heard a noise at his front door. As he went to investigate the noise, the victim said the two men broke through the door, rushed into his home and charged towards him. He attempted to flee into another room, but the two caught up with him and began to beat him with a large stick. He also claimed the men had a pistol.

The men beat him to the ground, the victim said, and continued to beat him, telling him not to get up. They then ransacked his bedroom and living room, and told him to wait ten minutes before getting up once they left.

After the suspects left, the victim ran to a neighbor’s house and called 911.

Investigators found the victim in his home with various injuries. He told investigators that the men took his wallet containing cash and credit/debit cards, financial documents, his cell phone and his keys.

The victim was transported by private party to the hospital.
